I travel alone, what are my options for a jungle tour?
No problem when travelling alone. TribuTrek will try to get you a room shared with a member from the same sex or a room that is shared with more people. If you prefer to have a single room a percentage will be added to the price, which depends per jungle lodge. For more information about this options, please contact us.

How can I pay?
TribuTrek accepts the following payment methods:

  • If you are already in Ecuador you can make a deposit anywhere in the country at a Pichincha bank. After depositing the money you can send us an e-mail and we can see directly if the money is in our bank account.
  • You can also choose to pay in cash in Quito, a member from our staff can come to visit you in your hotel/hostel to receive the payment there.
  • If you prefer to pay with credit card, you can when you are a verified paypal user. Paypal does charge us 4% of the total amount that will be send so we have to add this to the total bill.
  • If your tour doesn’t leave within a week you can also wire the money into our bank account. To do so we charge $40,00 administration costs to cover costs that the different banks are charging us.

It seems that I have to pay directly, is this true?
If you book a last minute with us, then yes we need to receive payment as soon as possible. Unfortunately the jungle lodges don’t accept a last minute reservation without full payment. If you book a tour further ahead in time then we ask for a 25% deposit to make your reservation and full payment 60 days before departure.

Are there any extra costs besides the jungle tour?
Besides the tour you also have to pay for your flight tickets, the price depends on where you want to fly to. Furthermore you have to pay the entrance fee for the national park or reserve that you are visiting and often a small entrance fee to the local communities. Drinks like water, tea, coffee, are usually included but you pay extra for soft and alcoholic drinks. Also take into account that you will be asked to leave a tip for the crew members and the guide.
