The Jamu Ecolodge is located in the upper part of the Cuyabeno Reserve. Jamu means armadillo in the indigenous Siona language. Armadillos can be found in North America, but the largest one is only found in the Amazon. Connect with nature at this beautiful eco-lodge where nature is the top priority.

The Jamu Ecolodge provides a diverse range of rooms and suites, suitable for one, two, or even up to five guests. The lodges are built in a traditional rustic style with high thatched roofs and wooden walls. The Jamu Ecolodge has three attractive big suites and two towers with different rooms.
All the rooms and suites are provided with a private bathroom with hot and cold water, electricity, and enough storage space for all your belongings. Mosquito nets hang around the comfortable large beds and, in the bathroom, you will find biodegradable shampoo and soap.

The Ecolodge Activities
The Jamu Ecolodge provides many activities and different tours. You can choose between a 3-day to 5-day tour at the lodge.
The main emphasis of the tours is to connect with nature and find animals. On the first day you will be picked up by the guide of the lodge at the Cuyabeno bridge. At the bridge you will have a delicious lunch before departure to the lodge. By canoe you will be taken to the lodge. During this boat ride you will have the first chance to spot all kinds of animals such as monkeys, birds, butterflies and many more.
Depending on how many days you stay at the lodge, the activities will be determined. During the day you will get out a lot by canoe, sailing through the Amazon in search of animals, visiting one of the ancient communities and hiking through the rainforest.
At night you will also go out on the water and into the rainforest in search of nocturnal wildlife such as caimans, snakes and many insects. In your spare time there is time to swim, relax, play games, explore the area or read a good book.
The lodge has a good cook who will provide you with breakfast, lunch, dinner and delicious snacks. At Jamu lodge you will enjoy comfort in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest.
