The Mashpi Lodge is located in the Mashpi Nature Reserve in Ecuador, 2 hours from Quito, and offers a unique approach to biological research.
The Mashpi Lodge is the ideal place to find more than 500 species of birds, trees and frogs that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. In the middle of a forest populated by powerful waterfalls and mysterious cats, adventures and unique emotions await you. Dare to walk on hidden trails, take a dip in the crystal clear rivers, get up at dawn to watch the birds awaken, or fly through the trees in our Dragonfly.
The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, iPod docking station, safe and private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and bath robes. In addition, they have large windows with full panoramic views of the mist-shrouded forest that surrounds the property.
The Mashpi Lodge has a hot tub, free shuttle service, 24-hour reception, laundry service, observation tower and natural massage service with local stones, herbs and leaves, and free WiFi. Additionally, guests can enjoy bike ziplines, natural waterfalls, and night walks with bioluminescent mushrooms.
The Mashpi Lodge offers presentations and talks on nature conservation and the Mashpi project by the resident biologist.
