These are the terms & conditions of Elwotravel Cia Ltda. Our office is located in Quito in Ecuador. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By making a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, You agree to the following terms and conditions:

Terms & conditions for the payment and confirmation of your reservation

After the original booking for a jungle tour, we require a 100% payment.
Vouchers and airline tickets are never issued unless full payment is received.

Terms & conditions how to make the payments:

• A bank transfer into our Ecuadorian bank account. We charge a $40 fee to cover expenses that the banks charges us for receiving your money. A wire transfer with WISE or Revolut doesn´t have a charge extra.
• By credit card. Here we have to charge 4% administration costs. We will have to add this to the amount due.
• By Western Union Bank.
• Cash. If you are already in Ecuador, you can deposit the cash money directly into our Ecuadorian bank account.

Terms & conditions cancellation by client

All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellation policies for Jungle tours and all other third parties vary per third party operator. In case of cancellation Elwotravel always has to follow the third parties cancellation policy.

In case of cancellation of jungle tours the following conditions apply:

• 90 days  before departure of the tour. Elwotravel shall refund the deposit minus $ 100 administration costs and any bank costs charged to us for refunding the money.
• 90-60 days before departure of the tour. Elwotravel will give a refund from 50% minus $ 50 administration costs and any bank costs charged to us for refunding the money.
• 60 days before departure of the tour. Elwotravel can´t make any refunds.

If you will not arrive on time to start any of the tours booked, refunds will not be made! Any costs that occur because of a late arrival will have to be paid by the client(s). This also applies in case of flight delays and any other situations that are beyond the control of Elwotravel.

Cancellation or changes in itineraries by Elwotravel or any third party operators

Our travel agency and third party operators receive the right to cancel or change tours in any circumstances out of their responsibility.

Elwotravel and third party operators reserve the right to modify any service in order to assure the safety and comfort of its clients.
Elwotravel or any other external operator can never be held responsible in case of force majeure.  Force majeure such as war, demonstrations, riots, terrorist activities, natural disasters, changes in weather conditions, pandemics or other circumstances beyond the control of the company. In one of these cases, there will not be a refund.

Travel/Health Insurance

The client has to be covered by appropriate life, accident and medical and or health insurance. The client is financially responsible for such expenses. We recommend that all participants insure their personal property for loss and theft. Elwotravel does not give refunds for medical reasons or theft or loss of documents.

National Park Rules

All clients participating on tours have to obey the rules in the National Parks on the mainland of Ecuador. Clients are expected to follow normal patterns of (social) behavior and always comply with safety instructions without exception. We expect all clients to behave in an appropriate and respectful manner towards crew members, guides and all other staff.
Elwotravel and third party operators reserve the right to refuse service and tours for clients. Clients who act in a hostile or disruptive manner or who disregard the welfare of other passengers, crew members, guides and wildlife.

Health

By making a reservation with any of the Elwotravel jungle tours, you state that you are in good enough health to participate in the tour.

Problems

If you have a problem or a complaint during the tour you have to contact Elwotravel directly. Elwotravel can do everything that´s in it´s power to solve the problem.

Travel documents

It is clients own responsibility to travel with a valid passport. Elwotravel will never be responsible in case you do not have the right documents and therefore have to cancel your tour.

Entrance fees

The National Parks entrance fees, airline tickets and community visits are never included in the price unless otherwise stated.

Food restrictions

Elwotravel will always try to meet the dietary requirements indicated to us.
